Olin Library Policies
Please note that our camera equipment, vinyl cutter, screen printer, podcasting studio, and trainings for these tools and fabrication areas will be unavailable for the Fall 2020 semester. We are circulating sewing machines for two week periods to trained Olin or cross-registered students only.
Cross-Registered Wellesley & Babson Students
All cross-registered students are free to use and borrow Olin's library resources with no limitations. Cross-registered students must be trained on library fabrication areas and other special services (cameras, sewing machines, vinyl cutter, screen printer, and the Sound Studio podcasting space).
Wellesley & Babson Students, Staff, and Faculty
Wellesley and Babson staff and faculty, as well as students that are not cross-registered, are eligible for physical Olin Library cards and are able to check out materials. They are also welcome to sign up for Olin Library training on the services mentioned above, but they cannot borrow our cameras, tools, or audio equipment.
Online Resource Access
The terms of our license agreements typically limit off-campus access to electronic resources (ebooks, databases, or other electronic resources) to current Olin students, faculty, and staff. To access most electronic resources, Wellesley and Babson users must come to the Olin Library.
Have questions about how to get trained? Want to know more about the resources we have on offer? Contact the staff at email@example.com.
Wellesley Library Policies
Students and faculty from Olin or Babson may borrow materials (excluding equipment) from the Wellesley College Libraries.
Those who have not been issued a Wellesley College ID (i.e., Olin students who are not cross-registered) must register for library access at the circulation desk in Clapp Library. They will be issued a standalone Wellesley College library card.
The terms of Wellesley's license agreements typically limit off-campus access to electronic resources (ebooks, databases, or other electronic resources) to current Wellesley students, faculty, and staff. To access most electronic resources, Babson and Olin users must come to the Wellesley campus.
Computer Access at the Wellesley College Libraries
All computers in the Wellesley College Library require a Wellesley username and password to login. For guest access to electronic resources, contact the main service desk in Clapp Library. There is free WiFi access for visitors to the Wellesley campus, though few library resources will be available for guests on this network.
For more information, contact a Wellesley librarian at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Babson Library Policies
Cross-Registered Olin Students at Babson
All cross-registered users are free to use and borrow Babson's library resources with no limitations. Simply use your Babson-issued OneCard for physical items and your Babson username and password for electronic resources.
The terms of our license agreements typically limit off-campus access to electronic resources (ebooks, databases, or other electronic resources) to current Babson students, faculty and staff. To access most electronic resources, Olin and Wellesley users must come to Horn Library and view them on library desktops. The full list of databases available on-campus can be viewed on the Databases for Visitors page.
